The Boys are back...and it's about to get even bloodier and bombastic than any fan of season 1 could dream of if the official trailer released today for season 2 is any indication. In the trailer's three-minute runtime, a lot is brought to the attention of the audience in the most gruesome ways. As in it's shocking this trailer isn't marked as a Red Band. Check it out below:
It's been confirmed Karl Urban's character Billy Butcher won't appear in the first episode of the new season (And it will be left as a mystery at the beginning on what he experienced), and during that premiere episode the rest of the Boys will be focused on. Continuing from the cliffhanger of the first season, they will be on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought, the company behind The Seven and who are currently using the Supervillain threat as a way to play on the nation's paranoia and reestablish their power in it.
While this occurs, Starlight (Who helped the Boys escape last season), will have to navigate her place in The Seven which is dealing with it's own shake-up. Particularly as their leader, Homelander, tries to take complete control which he will wrestle with from Stormfront, a social media-savvy Supe who has an agenda of her own.
The first three episodes of season 2 are set to make a superhero landing on September 4th with the remainder of the season airing on a weekly basis after that. And without a doubt, sparks, blood, and every organ in the human body will fly in a wicked clash. And...of course...there will be a lot of swearing.
Stay tuned!
I have my doubts about it...looks more PC then season 1...let's wait and see.
