Created and written by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn (Who originally worked with David Fincher on the project before he departed when the project jumped from HBO to Amazon), the upcoming U.S. remake of the cult British dark comedy/sci-fi series Utopia has released its full trailer today.
Like the original series, the remake follows a group of comic book nerds who bond over a popular fictional comic book called Dystopia. They get together at a convention to get a sneak peek of a sequel called Utopia but soon find themselves being chased by trained assassins who are trying to stop anyone from reading it. Why? Turns out the events of the comic are true and only they know the world is on the brink of destruction. Now, the group must embark on an adventure with the highest of stakes...to save themselves, each other, and ultimately humanity.
Check out the official trailer for the remake below:
Utopia features the talents of John Cusack, Rainn Wilson, Sasha Lane, Dan Byrd, Jessica Rothe, Ashleigh LaThrop, and Desmin Borges. It set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 25th.
Watch the original one instead, just by the trailer you can see it was better. The show prematurely stopped though. SAd.
Trailer will at least get me to try it.
