One of the distinct concepts behind the rides at Disneyland is each ride has a story behind it. Not just narratively for the experience in-ride, but Walt Disney and Disney Imagineers designed each ride with an almost theatrical approach. And now, following their documentary series The Imagineering Story (which talked about the history of the Disney Parks along with coming plans), a new documentary series has been announced that will go into the stories behind some of Disneyland's most noted rides and attractions.
Titled Behind The Attraction, the new series will be composed of ten episodes with each episode going a different Disney Park ride. Confirmed are episodes focusing on Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, It's A Small World, Haunted Mansion, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Tours. In addition, several attractions like The Hall of Presidents, the castles at each park, the monorail system, and the Disneyland hotel will also be explored. This was announced today on Disney+'s Twitter account with an official poster and a confirmed premiere date of July 16th. Check it out below:
