Blunt to Star in Yates' "Pain Hustlers"

In a sort of deconstruction of films like 2014's The Wolf of Wall Street (or just the 1990 classic Wall Street), Emily Blunt is set to star in the new criminal-conspiracy thriller Pain Hustlers. The logline for the film has already been released. Check it out below:

Dreaming of a better life for her and her young daughter, Liza Drake (Blunt), a high-school dropout, lads a job with a failing pharmaceutical start-up in a yellowing strip mall in Central Florida. Liza’s charm, guts and drive catapult the company and her into the high life, where she soon finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.

The film hails from director David Yates (Fantastic Beasts, Harry Potter) and screenwriter Wells Tower (The True American). This will serve as Yates' first original IP as a director as his previous filmography consists of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films along with the 2016 film The Legend of Tarzan. His directorial debut, The Tichborne Claimant (1998), which was based on a true story. Lawrence Grey (Yes Day, The Laundromat) will produce the film under his Grey Matter Productions banner alongside Wychwood Pictures. Stay tuned!
