"Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Announced with Teaser Trailer

While rumors had been circulating about it, Activision has officially announced the next installment in the long-running FPS franchise, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War which will take place and tie into some of the most formative events of the U.S.-Soviet Cold War. While a worldwide reveal is set to happen on August 26th, the official teaser trailer has been released today. Check it out below:

Though originally it was Sledgehammer Games’ turn in the cycle, conflicts of interest has led to Treyarch and Raven Software taking over and co-developing the new entry which rather keeps things consistent with past games in the series. Treyarch has handled every other Black Ops installment in the COD series while Sledgehammer had worked on the main installments since Modern Warfare 3 in 2011, including the recent hit reboot of Modern Warfare. However, Raven Software was the one responsible for this year's hit free-to-play battle royale installment Call of Duty: Warzone. Stay tuned!
