Chris Pratt Joins "Thor: Love and Thunder"

At the end of last year's Avengers: Endgame, Thor (Played by Chris Hemsworth) decided to hitch a ride with the Guardians of the Galaxy in hopes of finding out who he wants to be, now that he no longer was obligated to be the King of Asgard. And while audiences speculated Thor joining the Guardians for their third solo film (Referencing an actual comic book spin-off titled "Asgardians of the Galaxy"), it turns out it might go the other way.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to shoot in Australia in late 2021, but Thor: Love and Thunder will shoot first in January of 2021. And now, it's been confirmed that Pratt will in fact first reprise his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord for Love and Thunder, joining Hemsworth along with Natalie Portman reprising the role of Jane Foster and Tessa Thompson returning as Valkyrie. It's been speculated how big his part will be with some outlets marking it as a cameo and others as a supporting role, akin to Mark Ruffalo's appearance as Bruce Banner/Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok. Time will tell.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi (Who co-wrote the script with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson). It is set to hit theaters February 11th, 2022.
