DC FanDome 2021: Film/TV Trailers

This morning saw the arrival of DC FanDome which teased all things related to DC Comics adaptations. First up, we have the official trailers released:

The Batman (Main Trailer)

This is the first trailer shown since the teaser trailer that landed at last year's DC FanDome. However, the new main trailer for The Batman has far more explanation of the story, teasing Robert Pattinson's incarnation of the titular character during his second year of fighting crime, thus not doing another origin story. In additon, there are more scenes of the Riddler (Played by Paul Dano), Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Played by Zoë Kravitz), Commissioner Gordon (Played by Jeffrey Wright), and The Penguin (Played by an unrecognizable Colin Farrell). Check out the new trailer below:

The Batman co-stars John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, and Andy Serkis. It is directed by Matt Reeves (who co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig) and is set to hit theaters on March 4th, 2022.

Peacemaker (Official Teaser)

Next up, the first full teaser for Peacemaker which continues the story of John Cena's character following the events of the film The Suicide Squad. Set to premiere on HBO Max on January 13th, 2022, the film's director James Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the miniseries as well as direct five of the episodes himself. The series will both explore Peacemaker's origins as well as subsequent missions following the movie. Check out the teaser below:

The Flash (Early Trailer)

Perhaps one of the biggest hits of the DC FanDome this year was an early trailer for the long in-development Flash movie, which will take cues from the popular Flashpoint comic book miniseries. The trailer only briefly teases Michael Keaton's return as Batman (and his Batmobile) but the main visuals include a new suit for Ezra Miller in the titular role and a brief shot of Sasha Calle as Supergirl. The film recently wrapped production. Check out the trailer below:

The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti and is set to land in theaters November 4th, 2022.

DC League of SuperPets (Teaser)

In addition to the live-action reveals, a couple animated features got teased at the event. One is

DC League of SuperPets which will follow the antics of the pets of DC superheroes.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson voicing Krypto the Super-Dog (who was at the event to talk about Black Adam), Kevin Hart will voice Ace. Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, John Krasinski, Diego Luna, Natasha Lyonne, Keanu Reeves, and Marc Maron will also lend their voices.

The film was written and directed by Jared Stern. It will open in theaters on May 20th, 2022.

Catwoman: Hunted (Official Trailer)

The last feature teased was Catwoman: Hunted, a new film that is part of the DC Animated Universe. The film will see Selena Kyle/Catwoman (Voiced by Elizabeth Gillies) in an attempt to steal a priceless jewel that ultimately sees her hunted by villains, Interpol, and Batwoman (Voiced by Stephanie Beatriz).

The film will be the first of five DCAU films released next year, set to arrives on digital and disc on February 8th. It is directed by Shinsuke Terasawa. Check out the official trailer below:
