Nope. You read that title right. During some off-time from shooting Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon, co-star Robert De Niro has suffered a leg injury. No further details were given by TMZ, who broke the story, but De Niro returned home to New York yesterday to heal and will be getting an official diagnosis today.
Luckily, production has not been halted or delayed as, coincidence enough, De Niro was planning to take a few weeks off the production and had already shot the scenes he needed to do. The production began last month and is set to run for seven months in Bartlesville, Pawhuska and Osage County, Oklahoma. Based on true events, in the story De Niro will play the main villain of the story, William Hale, whose nephew Ernest Burkhart (Played by Leonardo DiCaprio) is marrying a native of the Osage nation named Mollie (Played by Lily Gladstone). This is part of a scheme by the Hale family so they can legally possess oil-rich land in Oklahoma that the Osage own.
Killers of the Flower Moon co-stars Jesse Plemons. Stay tuned!
Was it his 3rd leg?
