After the original 2019 film raked in $155 million on a mere $9 million budget, it'll be curious to see if the sequel Escape Room: Tournament of Champions can have equal success as theaters are opened back up and box office recovery seems to be underway. Especially with horror movies that offer a nice bit of escapism and adrenaline for audiences after a hard year of lockdown. But as the new clip shows, the sequel will bring to the table what made the first one so popular. Namely the wild obstacles and traps the leads will face. As an example, the new clip puts on display a daring attempt to escape an electric train...that's not a metaphor. Check it out below:
Escape Room: Tournament of Champions stars Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero. It is once again directed by Adam Robitel and is set to hit theaters on July 16th.
