While the first Venom carries an abysmal 30% on Rotten Tomatoes, one thing that was very well-praised was the dynamic between Eddie Brock and his symbiote counterpart Venom (both played by Tom Hardy). The sequel, releasing in theaters today, looks to lean more into that element and as audiences head to the theater (with the film expected to top the box office this weekend following an $11 million Thursday preview), director Andy Serkis goes into where the duo is at as the sequel's story begins.
