Following the very brief trailer teaser yesterday, A Quiet Place Part II has released it's final trailer. Well...hopefully it will be the final trailer. After more than a year delay from it's original release date of March 8th, 2020. Now, it looks ready to finally hit theaters on May 28th and then will be available on Paramount+ 45 days after it's been in theaters. It's interesting to note that this film was actually the first major film to get pushed back when the pandemic started.
Before the pandemic, the film was set to have an opening weekend that would outpace the 2018 original film's. Movies like Godzilla vs. Kong have managed to show the box office is improving as that film has made a healthy $400 million at the box office. Given that 2018's A Quiet Place was made for $17 million and made over $340 million at the box office, it's a strong bet the roughly equal low-budgeted sequel can pull off a strong box office. We'll find out in a few weeks. In the meantime, check out the new trailer below:
A Quiet Place Part II stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, and Djimon Hounsou. It is written and directed by John Krasinski.
