First Look: Searchlight's "The Menu"

The title image is the only visual tease for the highly-anticipated movie The Menu, but it's the reveal of the wild story and concept that intrigues. Produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch, the film is helmed by Mark Mylod, who executive produces and has directed several episiodes on McKay's hit show Succession. Already set to be a potential player for next Oscar season with a limited November 18th release date (followed by a wide November 22nd release), the film will be produced by Searchlight Pictures.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult star as a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island to indulge in a lavish tasting menu prepared by a famed chef (Ralph Fiennes), yet they find their appetites satisfied with some unusual ingredients and shocking surprises. Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro, Mark St. Cyr, Rob Yang, and John Leguizamo also star.

Mylod, known for directing television until now, brings along a fellow Succession crew member for the ride in the form of writer Will Tracy. Tracy penned the script alongside Seth Meyers writing supervisor Seth Reiss. Stay tuned!
