Perhaps the most promoted movie in the last couple years about an all-female action team is the Simon Kinberg-directed film the 355. However, that film has been pushed back until January of next year. With that, the upcoming action film Gunpowder Milkshake will be landing first since it's getting released on Netflix on July 14th of this year.
While 355 focuses on a team of government agents, Gunpowder Milkshake will focus on a female assassin named Sam (Played by Karen Gillan) who has to protect her adoptive daughter Emily (Played by Chloe Coleman). To do this, she has to call upon the help of a secret sisterhood of female assassins that include her mother (Played by Lena Headey). A mother who abandoned her more than a decade ago.

Gunpowder Milkshake co-stars Angela Bassett, Paul Giamatti, Michelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino. It is directed by Navot Papushado (who co-wrote the script with Ehud Lavski).
