Ridley Scott does love his science fiction to be dark, thought-provoking, and wildly inventive conceptually. While the director of Prometheus is not handling Raised by Wolves himself, he is executive producing the new HBO Max series, which is set to debut on September 3rd on the streaming service with a ten-episode order. The poster alone displays something crazy to come:
The series will follow two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. But as the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. The trailer definitely teases such a wild conflict:
The show will be led by Travis Fimmel who audiences last admired in the role of Ragnar on the popular show Vikings. The show's writer and creator is Aaron Guzikowski (The Man in the High Castle) who will exective produce alongside David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner, and Mark Huffam. Stay tuned!
Looks strange and after Prometheus, Ridley Scott is dead to me.
