It's been confirmed for awhile that a sequel to the popular 1993 cult film Hocus Pocus was in the works. But now, taking to Twitter for the announcement, Bette Midler has confirmed that her, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy are returning as the Sanderson sisters for a new film. The original saw the trio, three sisters witches, being brought back to life by an unwitting high schooler new to Salem and trying to steal the youth of children to stay alive. See Midler's post below which also shows the sequel's logo:
As the post shows, the film will land on Disney+ sometime in the Fall of 2022 (though no exact date was given). It's unknown whether any of the other actors from the first film will return, but it's known that Anne Fletcher is set to helm the sequel from a script written by Jen D'Angelo. Stay tuned!
