Honest Trailers: "Scream"
It's somewhat ironic that Honest Trailers just made a video for the hit 1996 film Scream given that film was essentially a feature-length Honest Trailer on horror films. This is what separated the Wes Craven-directed series from other slashers was how it deconstructed and satirized the clichés of the horror movie genre (Even Craven's own A Nightmare on Elm Street films). A further irony is that Scream began it's own set of clichés which you can note in it's Honest Trailer below:
