Lately, Joey King has been popping up everywhere, building her resume and taking on a multitude or roles. Whether it was her dramatic turn in the Hulu series The Act or The Kissing Booth romantic comedies on Netflix, she's been all over the place. Now, she's about to pop up on the big screen...well assuming the quarantine lifts by the time this movie comes out.
The film question is Bullet Train, based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle, and follows five assassins who find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka, along the way discovering their individual missions are connected to each other. It then becomes a fight for survival as they draw closer to the final stop.
King has been confirmed to have landed a lead role opposite Brad Pitt who was already confirmed for the film awhile back along with director David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw) being at the helm. Pitt had made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo in Leitch's Deadpool 2 as the X-Force member Vanisher. Here, King will play one of the assassins alongside Pitt although no further information has been given for either of their characters.
Filming is slated to begin in Los Angeles in the Fall. Stay tuned!
