John McClane Returns...in Car Commercial

Admittedly, it was a little cruel this morning when Rumer Willis debuted a mysterious teaser that seemed to indicate that her father, Bruce Willis, was returning as John McClane in a new Die Hard film. Last time any word had been heard of a potential sixth film, it was set to be titled McClane and would feature a split storyline, one focusing on John earlier in his career in 1979 and one in the present with Willis returning for the latter storyline. However, last anyone heard of that, it had been cancelled when the franchise's studio, 20th Century Fox, had merged with Disney.

While that brief 30 second teaser Rumer Willis released this morning claimed "Die Hard is Back", as it turns out it was just for a 2 minute car commercial for the DieHard brand car batteries, the full version was having launched during the NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers later in the day. Admittedly though, it's an entertaining 2 minutes. Check it out below:

For those who missed them, the ad also featured cameo appearances by several players from the original film. Namely, De'voreaux White's character Argyle (Who was McClane's limousine driver) and Clarence Gilyard Jr. as Theo (Who was Hans' computer specialist trying to crack the safe for much of the original). If we never get another Die Hard film...at least Willis got to go out having a little fun as the character that propelled him to stardom. But we can always hope, can't we? Stay tuned!

lol...it wasn't that bad...but at the same time it's sad to see Willis moving in slow motion due to his age and his shitty physical condition...shame he threw his career to the toilet and dedicated his life to alcohol and being an asshole...we could have gained another 1-2 proper die hard sequels.

This is by far one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my entire life.
