Movie Fact #8 - August 25th, 2020

Writer: Nicholas E. LauerNicholas E. Lauer

The 2002 version of Solaris sees noted filmmaker Steven Soderbergh both as director and screenwriter. The film's editing was done by Mary Ann Bernard and the cinematography by Peter Andrews. The thing is...neither Bernard nor Andrews are real people, but rather pseudonyms for Soderbergh himself. That's right, in total, Soderbergh held FOUR major positions in the film's production.

@Rambo: It was interesting. Far more streamlined and to the point. One could argue it was a little hollow in comparison and not nearly as wildly cosmic but I prefer the ending to this over the ending of the original. It made more sense.

It was a decent effort compared to some of the other movies he made.
