Movie Fact #80 - November 5th, 2020

With his 1996 film The Long Kiss Goodnight, Shane Black became the first writer to sell a script for $4 million. Black later admitted that this caused a lot of envy among his fellow screenwriters, as well as accusations of commercialism. This was why he voluntarily retired from the blockbuster industry for almost a decade as a result. Talk about creative integrity. Stay tuned!
