While it has since become a trademark of his, 1988's Coming to America was the first film to feature Eddie Murphy playing multiple parts through extensive make-up. Besides playing the lead character Prince Akeem Joffer (The prince of Zamunda), he also played Randy Watson (a soul singer with the fictional band Sexual Chocolate), Saul (The Jewish barbershop customer), and Clarence (The owner of the barber shop). I realised only years after that 'Saul' was Eddie Murphy in disguise. Great make up work.
