Netflix's "GLOW" Cancelled, Despite Season 4 Order

The thing about the COVID-19 is that it part of the outbreak comes from physical contact. So, unfortunately, a show about female wrestling is considered too high-risk. It's for this reason that Netflix has cancelled their hit show GLOW, despite the fact the show was in the midst of it's season 4 production (And had completed one episode before word came of the cancellation). The fourth season was expected to also be the final season so as to wrap-up the storylines of the series. There is no word if a wrap-up film will be considered as a replacement for this sudden cancellation. However, series creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch did release a statement (Via Deadline):
“Netflix has decided not to finish filming the final season of GLOW. We were handed the creative freedom to make a complicated comedy about women and tell their stories. And wrestle. And now that’s gone. There’s a lot of sh—y things happening in the world that are much bigger than this right now. But it still sucks that we don’t get to see these fifteen women in a frame together again.”
This continues Netflix's apparent warpath of cancelling shows that already had their renewal orders. The Society and I Am Not Okay With This were also recently cancelled by the streaming service despite both getting second seasons ordered previously. The question is...who will be next? Stay tuned!
