In much of the promotion for No Time to Die, Rami Malek's villain character Safin has mostly been kept in the shadows (Or with a strange mask on). What is know is that he seems to want revenge against Bond's love interest Madeline Swann (Played by Léa Seydoux). As a remind to fans, Madeline's father was the villain Mr. White who was one of the heads of Quantum and was introduced officially in the 2008 film Quantum of Solace (After having a brief cameo in 2006's Casino Royale). It was revealed later in 2015's Spectre that Quantum was an off-shoot brand of that main organization, led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Played by Christoph Waltz). All this further does is confirm how the upcoming fifth and final film of Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond will attempt to bring a sense of closure to his iteration.
As the clip "Meet Safin" seems to further imply, Malek's character will serve as a connective tissue while also being a threat to Bond in his own right. Check it out below:
No Time to Die co-stars Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Rory Kinnear, Ralph Fiennes, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik. It is Cary Joji Fukunaga (Who co-wrote the script with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge). It is set to be released in the UK on November 12th, followed by a release in the US on November 20th.
I want to "meet" the new female 007.
