Mike Flanagan has carved a pretty amazing niche for himself over at Netflix. Not only did he give audiences two great limited series in The Haunting on Hill House and it's companion series The Haunting of Bly Manor, but he also directed the well-received film Gerald's Game. And while he's enjoyed big screen success with Oculus and Doctor Sleep, Flanagan seems to enjoy the confines of a limited series, allowing for a developed long-form narrative that has a definitive end. Not only is he working on a series for Netflix based on the Christopher Pike's 1994 young adult novel The Midnight Club, but he's now set to release his own original concept in the form of the similarly named series Midnight Mass. His original work will be the first to premiere on Netflix, set to land on the streaming service later this month on September 24th. Ahead of that, a beautiful, seemingly hand-painted poster has been released, harkening back to one-sheets of classic cinema. One that shows, in a way, Flanagan's investment in the tale he has crafted personally. Check it out below:
Midnight Mass stars Zach Gilford, Kate Siegel, and Hamish Linklater. Stay tuned!
