There has been a lot of buzz building for HBO Max's newest miniseries Love & Death, especially when it has legendary writer David E. Kelley and Emmy/Oscar-nominated director Lesli Linka Glatter. But the true story behind the miniseries is enough to intrigue even the most layman crime drama fan.
The series takes place in Wylie, Texas and follows housewife Candy Montgomery (Elizabeth Olsen), who was accused of the brutal axe murder of her friend Betty Gore (Lily Rabe) in 1980. Jesse Plemons will co-star as Allan Gore, the husband of Betty Gore, while Patrick Fugit will play Candy's husband, Pat.
