Katla is a real volcano in southern Iceland that is very active, having a recorded twenty eruptions documented between 930 and 1918, at intervals of 20–90 years. And while small eruptions have occurred in more recent years (most recently 2011), in the new Netflix series Katla, it's newest eruption will bring strange occurrences.
A year after the eruption of the volcano Katla, the population of the Icelandic town Vik suddenly start experiencing mysterious incidents that disturb the town peace. Ahead of it's release on Netflix on June 17th, an official trailer has been released. Check it out below:
