Krysten Ritter may be done playing Jessica Jones, but apparently she's not done with Netflix as her next project will be co-starring in the upcoming horror fantasy film Nightbooks. Based on the 2018 horror-fantasy children's book of the same name by J. A. White, Ritter will a witch who has kidnapped a young boy Alex (Played by Winslow Fegley) and is convinced by him (to avoid certain death) to listen to a scary story every night. Together with the witch's servant, Yazmin (Played by Lidya Jewett), the boy must rely on wits to escape her apartment, a magical labyrinth filled with various dangers, before the witch kills them both.
Today, the film has released it's official trailer ahead of the film's release on the streaming service on September 1st. Check it out below:
Nightbooks is directed by David Yarovesky.
