There is something to be said for an actor who is willing to parody themselves in such a direct way as Nicolas Cage is willing to do in his new film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Not only does the film seem to make fun of his lavish spending and his eccentric interests, but it also portrays him as shortsighted. To the point his fictional self finds himself dealing with a super fan who is also a notorious drug lord. And as the full trailer indicates, this only enables Cage to embrace his increasingly wild on-screen personas to try and make it out alive. Check it out below:
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent co-stars Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish. It is directed by Tom Gormican (who co-write the script with Kevin Etten). It is set to hit theaters on April 22nd.
