Director Park Chan-wook hasn't directed a film since 2016's The Handmaiden (Although he did serve as director for the 2018 AMC miniseries The Little Drummer Girl). But now, he's set to return to the big screen (Or small screen depending on when the COVID-19 pandemic ends) with his next announced film Decision to Leave along with the lead stars and what characters they will play.
Set to begin production later this month, the film will follow a detective (Played by Park Hye-il) who is investigating a possible murder in the mountainous countryside. Unfortunately, he begins to suspect the man’s widow (Played by Tang Wei), whom he is developing romantic feelings for. Lee Jung-hyun, Go Kyung-pyo, and Park Yong-woo also star in the film which is based off a script Park co-wrote with Jeong Seo-kyeong.
The dramatic film will be a Korean-language feature. It will be handled over at Moho Film and CJ Entertainment. Stay tuned!
