"Rick and Morty" Voice Actor Teases Potential Season 6 Air Date

Rick and Morty creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland signed a 70-episode deal with Adult Swim with the primary goal being they wanted to have the security to produce episodes on a regular schedule. This is something that fans probably would prefer given there was a notable three-year gap between season 4 and the currently airing season 5 (with the season finale set to air on Sunday, September 5th). In a recent interview with Inverse, Spencer Grammar (who voices Morty's big sister, Summer), seemed hopeful that season 6 (and beyond) won't take as long though she also emphasized not to count your chickens just yet:

"I keep saying, there's gonna be so many more episodes. They're writing season 6 already and are probably going to start writing season 7 soon. It's nice to be on a real schedule that people can see every year, hopefully, but who knows, it could be two years! I don't want to give anybody high hopes, but I don't know that it'll be three years again."

Hopefully, that isn't the case, especially given that the show's seasons are only 10 episodes long as opposed to, say, The Simpsons. Only time will tell...or maybe we can ask Rick Sanchez to build a time machine...he'll probably say "No" though. He hates time travel! Stay tuned!
