It was probably a shock for people to hear the Kate Winslet was reteaming with director James Cameron for Avatar 2. Mostly because the last time they worked together on 1997's Titanic, Winslet nearly drowned and also suffered pneumonia. Cameron, known for his aggressive general-style directing, had upset Winslet so much that she was quoted as saying she would only work with him again if she was "paid a lot of money". However, in a recent interview, she noted he was a lot calmer in their newest collaboration. And while Winslet 's role hasn't been confirmed, she did tease recently the following about her character:
“I had to learn how to free-dive to play that role in Avatar, and that was just incredible. My longest breath hold was seven minutes and 14 seconds, like crazy, crazy stuff...I play a water person. I am a water person.”
That seems to be confirmed today with a rather...let's be honest...humorous photo of her performing underwater in her motion-capture suit:
While it's any guess what creature Winslet will play, at least this time with Cameron she's getting to have a little fun.
