Spiral: From the Book of Saw is one of the more odd revivals of long-running horror franchises. Ignoring that the story stars comedian Chris Rock, the film follows up 2017's Jigsaw which in itself was a revival of the franchise that originally was supposed to end in Saw 3D in 2010. However, despite being written by the same writers as Jigsaw (Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger), it's being marked as it's own story not connected to the previous film (Though set in the same continuity).
Good question. We'll found out when the film lands in theaters on May 14th (After getting delayed for almost exactly a year from it's original release date of May 15, 2020). With that new release date coming closer, a new trailer has been released which you can check out below:
Spiral: From the Book of Saw co-stars Samuel L. Jackson. It is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.
I've never understood the attraction for this saddistic shit
'GAME OVER!' Jigsaw's last words in the original saw were far from the truth...
