Perhaps one of the intrigues of the upcoming series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is it covers something directly connected to the original series, namely the adventures of Christopher Pike (Played by Anson Mount). A character that has often served as brief prologue lead-in to the adventures of the famed Captain Kirk and the rest of Star Trek lore.
However, long-in development since he appeared in Discovery, Strange New Worlds will put Pike front-and-center in what is promised to be more like the original series. Namely, focusing more on episodic adventures with some ongoing serialized storylines to tie it all together. For now, check out the official teaser trailer below:
