"The Right Stuff" Series Debuts Official Trailer

It's a wonder what National Geographic's upcoming series adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s famed 1979 novel The Right Stuff will bring to the table that the now classic 1983 film didn't already do. But it will hopefully bring a rush for people in the US struggling, a reminder of what the nation is capable of.
Like the classic film, the series will follow the conception of NASA’s Project Mercury, igniting a space race with the Soviets and making instant celebrities of a handful of the military’s adrenaline-fueled test pilots who will become known as the Mercury Seven, are forged into heroes long before they have achieved a single heroic act. Amidst the challenges they will face, archrivals John Glenn and Alan Shepard jockey to become the first man in space.
