Let's be honest...2020 has everyone on edge. Between the COVID-19 pandemic isolating everyone and everything going on with the upcoming US election along with the protests, everyone is being driven stir crazy in some form or another. Pulled at the seams and rather ready to burst, yes? Well, HBO Max got a little clever and came up a series that is designed to...well help mellow everyone out. Titled A World of Calm, each episode will offer immersive visual experiences, complimented by astounding footage, relaxing music, and what has been described as "scientifically engineered narratives". All of this to help viewers to calm their minds and find a center in all this chaos going on. In addition, a slew of actors will provide narration to further enhance this experience.
The 10-episode series hails from the creators of the Calm app and Nutopia who created the nature documentary One Strange Rock in 2018. As the trailer indicates, the series should live up to the previous works of it's creators. Check it out below:
A World of Calm will feature narration from Mahershala Ali, Idris Elba, Oscar Isaac, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nicole Kidman, Zoë Kravitz, Lucy Liu, Cillian Murphy, Keanu Reeves, and Kate Winslet. Stay tuned!
