The announcement of Mads Mikkelsen joining Indiana Jones 5 (See the announcement here) isn't the only piece of news today regarding the popular Danish actor. He's one of the few able to maintain popularity in multiple countries, both in the US and in his home country of Denmark. Riders of Justice actually sees Mikkelsen reteam with an old collaborator, Anders Thomas Jensen who both writes and directs the film. Having previous written the script for Mikkelsen's 2010 Oscar-nominated film After the Wedding and 2014's The Salvation, Jensen looks to take things back in the mood of his black comedy style for the new revenge thriller.
Mikkelsen stars as recently-deployed Markus, who is forced to return home to care for his teenage daughter after his wife is killed in a tragic train accident. However, when a survivor of the wrecked train surfaces claiming foul play, Markus begins to suspect his wife was murdered and embarks on a revenge-fueled mission to find those responsible. And as the official trailer shows...it's going to be one brutal (yet oddly hilarious) tale of revenge:
Riders of Justice is set to land in US theaters in select cities May 14th and everywhere else on May 21st.
