Debuting today is the official trailer for the eight-part miniseries The Serpent. The series is based on the shocking true story of Charles Sobhraj who was believed to have killed over twenty Western travelers in various countries. The story will focus on a junior diplomat (Played by Billy Howle) in Bangkok who unwittingly walks into the midst of the killing spree of Sobhraj (Played by Tahar Rahim) and his girlfriend/accomplice Marie-Andree Leclerc (Played by Jenna Coleman). He then vows to bring them to justice. Check out the trailer below:
The Serpent is expected to premiere on BBC One on New Year's Day in 2021, followed by a release on Netflix in the US at a later date.
