Following such stars as Ginnifer Goodwin and Lucy Liu, who led season one, Allison Tolman and Lana Parrilla will lead the upcoming second season of the dark comedy anthology series Why Women Kill. While the previous season jumped between three different perspectives in three different time periods, season two will be focused solely in 1949.
In a synopsis released along with the new trailer, the storylines depicted will "explores what it means to be beautiful, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world, the effects of being ignored and overlooked by society and finally, the lengths one woman will go in order to finally belong..." Tolman will play housewife Alma who becomes desperate to fit in which she focuses through trying to be embraced by a local garden club, lead by queen bee Rita (Played by Parrilla). Season 2 of Why Women Kill is set to be released on the streaming service Paramount+ on June 3rd.
